One of her best known pictures, Moyse's Hall and the Buttermarket was presented to Bury St Edmunds Borough Council by Rose Mead herself. Painted in 1927, she donated it in 1934.

Another of her best known pictures, Barbara Stone was Rose's home help. It was painted in about 1930. Stone was herself a significant figure who donated £100 to provide a Men's Reading Room in the town centre.

This picture is entitled Arthur Mead reading.

This picture shows a cottage interior scene. It was exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Show in 1908. (Now owned by Ipswich Borough Council, hanging in Christchurch Mansion.)

This picture shows the painter's mother, Mrs Mead darning socks.

This picture is called The Outdoor Girl. The sitter is Miss Phyllis Burdon, recruited by Rose Mead while window shopping in Abbeygate Street. This was one of her typical methods for finding sitters.

This space taken up by this reproduction reflects the great size of the original portrait of Archdeacon George Hodges. It was painted in 1908 at life size in a frame ten feet tall.

Mrs Eva Wollaston Greene the first woman to serve as a Councillor and Mayor of Bury St Edmunds. She was Mayor in 1927/28 and 1931/32, serving from November to November in the manner of the time.

Frank Mead

Called The Gamekeeper, this is thought to be Mr Wollaston Greene.

This garden view with a statuette was one of several similar scenes painted by Rose Mead.
