JPs further powers over weights and measures, oversight of Sheriffs and constables etc in the burgh

Trials for treason require a Royal Warrant. Power over assay of bread and wine, ale, meat, drink and victuals, and levy taxes. Alderman to be Clerk of Markets and Fairs, and keep the profits.
